Soak 6 prunes, 6 figs, and a handful of raisins in water overnight. In the morning add 3 bananas (make sure to scrape the inside of the peel and include these mineral-rich white strings) and 8 ounces of yogourt (natural, high quality, with live bacterial cultures, no sugar please!!). Blend together in a blender with some ice and the water in which the fruit soaked. Divide this mixture into three (3) equal portions and drink throughout the day. (Dilute with more yogourt if desired.) This makes a very tasty, filling and satisfying shake.
If you wish to make this drink a complete food, add a handful of fresh, unsalted nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, cashews, sunflower seeds) before blending. Those who suffer from cold hands and feet may add 10-15 soaked saffron threads as well.
You may want to drink this shake daily instead of eating your regular meals. If so, every other day, you must eat a large meal of steamed vegetables or a hearty vegetable salad in addition to the drinks.
Please note: Any change in diet should be discussed with your doctor or natural health practitioner.
